Upcoming Events - 2010
Mar 31 (10:00am to 1:00pm) GKS will hold a clinic activity of painting/coloring Easter backpacks.
May 13 is the prom "shopping" day. GKS always helps out with setting up all the dresses and helping the girls pick out that special dress.
May 3rd we will hold a clinic activity that pertains to Mother's Day. GKS prides itself on their arts and crafts activities in that all are "keepsake" worthy and that kids of all ages can participate.
June 5th is the Hungry Bunch Cancer Kids Prom. This will be our third year providing prom pictures for the kids and their dates. We print out and frame the pictures that night so the kids can take them home with them. We also help with set-up and clean-up. Garrett's KidStrong has been on the prom committe board since the first prom three years ago. This year we are having an Asian theme and are looking forward to making this night special for all the kids. (The volunteers also have alot of fun!)
For the Hungry Bunch Cancer Kids Prom we will be working with several other non-profits and businesses to make this happen. Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, HEB, Trip to Bountiful, Panda Express, Keller Williams, Royal Tuxedos, Leander High School Dance Team and Jennifer Wilks Foundation just to mention a few.
